Hi Linda,
Remember me???? I still think about all of you there quite often and often think of my days with BAS. What good days those were. The web site is great, it's good to see everything again. I haven't been back to visit since last time I stopped in there to see you a few summers ago. Things are good here, the kids are getting big and I'm getting older. I hope all is well for you, your family and the department. I hope to hear from you at my address above. Say hi to Jason for me, I really didn't recognize many other names.

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Sherri Puckett. I live in Kentucky. I am writing to you, asking if you (any firefighter)might take it upon yourself to write a letter to a fellow firefighter & a friend of mine. A letter, a quick note or any encouraging words might boost his Faith.

His name is Joey Adams. He works at the Mayfield Fire Dept. He is in his early 30's, with a wife and 2 small children. He has cancer. A couple weeks ago, he had a tumor removed from his brain. However, the doctors still say he has cancer and that it is the kind that spreads quickly. This coming week (June 15th) he will be going to Texas, to the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, to see doctors there.

My brother, Shannon Puckett, is an Assistant Chief, at our Mayfield Fire Dept. here in Kentucky. He works with Joey. He and all of the other firefighters are concerned and pray for Joey daily. We all want a miracle.

I believe that the acts of kindness that we do unto others will be repaid somehow by God. I believe that when we do it unto the least of these, then we do it unto God. I believe that when 2 or more gather together, great miracles are possible. And that's why I'm writing to other fellow firefighters. I think you believe in sticking together, in unity, which is what God loves.

Would you please pray for Joey? And if it's not too much trouble, would you and/or anyone else that wouldn't mind, write to Joey and encourage him? I believe that God is moved by our Faith and I think when friends and family and fire fighters stand in the gap and make a chain of faith around the world, then no telling what can happen. I think encouraging words will help Joey and his family. Most importantly, I think it will help boost their faith.

I will include my address. If I receive any letters I will see personally that Joey gets them.

Or you may send them directly to the Mayfield Fire Dept. I'm guessing there won't be any harm in giving out a city's address for the sake of a firefighter. Hopefully not. If in doubt, please use my address. Thanks so much and God bless you for blessing others!

Sincerely, .......A Friend who wants any or everyone to unite in Faith For a Fellow Firefighter

Hey Guys! Just checking in as I do every so often. Looks and sounds like things are going well up there in Brimfield MA. Things in Brimfield OH are going well too. We just tested to hire a couple more fulltimers. That should be happening in September. Several of us have been attending classes at the National Fire Academy and having a blast. We ended our year with just shy of 1000 calls last year and were declared the fastest growing community in the county. We have several new large commercial areas going in including a Super Walmart and cinema complex with several anchor restaurants. I am expecting that we will be over 1000 calls this year.

I am hoping to get out there to visit sometime and meet some of you all. Looks like you guys have a tremendous organization out there. Keep up the good work and please be safe in all you do out there in Brimfield MA.

Best Regards from Brimfield Ohio,
Lt. Chris Morrison
C-Shift Supervisor / EMS Coordinator

PS. Tell Chief Denning I said Hello, we spoke on the phone earlier last year and I was thrilled to hear from him.

Hello Chief! I stumbled on your website quite by accident. I am a shift lieutenant at the Brimfield Fire Department in Brimfield Ohio. We serve an area of about 23 square miles and a population of roughly 9,000. We have an annual call volume of over a thousand, on slate to do about 1050 this year. We have 2 engines, 1 pumper/tanker, 2 medic units, 1 heavy rescue unit, 1 pickup truck used as a utility or a medic chaser, and 1 for explorer used as the Chief's car. We have a fulltime Chief and three fulltime firefighter/paramedics. I am one of them. We staff with the fulltime Chief and three firefighter/medics every day except weekends when the Chief is off, then it is just three. Alot of times just because guys hang out we have up to 6. I would love to talk to ya or even trade patches. Check out the website up top there in a few days. I just bought it and am working on getting it up and running. Will have LOTS of pictures. Take care and hope to hear from ya.
